At Decorex 2024, Olympia, we were thrilled to bring a touch of Charleston to our stand, celebrating the creative, free-spirited world of the Bloomsbury Group. At the heart of our display was the Friday Club collection, a joyful and eclectic series of fabrics designed to showcase individuality, artistic expression, and the excitement of bold design.

Our stand was intended as a living canvas. Patterns layered, colours danced, and textures invited exploration, capturing the spirit of experimentation and collaboration that defined Charleston, reimagined for contemporary interiors.

One of the highlights was the Florella Velvet – Blue Moss armchair. The cascade of Art Deco-inspired blooms printed on luxurious velvet brought energy and vibrancy to the space, while echoing Charleston’s hand-painted interiors. The bobbin armchair in Tilton Stripe – Iberian Tile introduced rhythm and movement with its multi-coloured vertical stripes and intricate warp detail, reflecting Charleston’s handcrafted charm.

The curtains, dressed in Palm Wave – Celestial, offered a theatrical touch. The Deco-inspired palm leaf embroidery, highlighted with rayon, caught the light beautifully and added depth and elegance. On the bench, Juni Stripe – Terracotta brought warmth and tactility, with its kelim-inspired geometry on a soft herringbone weave providing a perfect balance of sophistication and comfort.

The Astall chair in Barbican – Folk showcased circular and oval motifs inspired by traditional shields, meticulously embroidered and enhanced with fil coupé on heavy linen, adding richness and texture. Completing the space, the room partitioner in Sylvan – Copper Beech became a true centrepiece. Its bold tree of life embroidery and detailed stitching captured the drama and creativity of Charleston interiors.

For us, the Decorex stand was more than a showcase of fabrics — it was a celebration of creativity, colour, and collaboration. Through the Friday Club collection, we wanted to invite designers, makers, and visitors to rediscover the joy of bold pattern and eclectic layering. Just as the Bloomsbury Group blurred the boundaries between art and life, Friday Club blurs the boundaries between fabric and art, offering endless possibilities to bring personality, expression, and colour into interiors.

All furniture featured on the stand was provided by David Seyfried, whose craftsmanship perfectly complemented our fabrics.
